2.Physical and Chemical Properties
- Appearance: White powder or granules
- Melting point: Decomposes at approximately 825 °C (releasing carbon dioxide)
- Density: Approximately 2.71 g/cm³ (calcite)
- Solubility: Practically insoluble in water; soluble in dilute acids with effervescence; slightly soluble in carbon- dioxide-containing water
- Stability: Stable
3.Main Functions and Applications (What are its uses?)
- Plastics and rubber (core application): As one of the most widely used fillers and reinforcing agents, calcium carbonate significantly lowers production cost while improving the rigidity, dimensional stability, surface gloss and processability of the finished articles. It is used in enormous quantities in PVC, PE, PP and rubber products.
- Papermaking (core application): As a coating pigment and filler, it imparts higher brightness, opacity and smoothness to paper, making it one of the most important inorganic fillers in the papermaking industry.
- Paints and coatings: Serves as a filler and extender to improve hiding power, rheology and to reduce formulation cost.
- Construction materials: As the core raw material of cement, lime and concrete, it is widely used in construction, building materials and artificial-stone production.
- Food: Used as a calcium fortifier, anti-caking agent and acidity regulator (E170) in flour, dairy products and nutritionally fortified foods.
- Pharmaceutical: Acts as an antacid and calcium supplement, and as a tablet filler, widely employed in stomach medicines and calcium preparations.
- Toothpaste and cosmetics: As a mild abrasive and filler, it provides good cleaning performance and paste stability.
- Water treatment and agriculture: Used for pH adjustment and neutralization, soil improvement and as a feed additive.
4.A Benchmark-Level Industrial Masterpiece - A Meticulously Crafted "Food-Grade" Multifunctional Filler!
CaCO3 content ranges from 98.0% to 100.5%, meeting the premium food-grade specification and delivering reliable, consistent performance.
Ultra-low barium, arsenic, fluoride and lead ensure food-grade safety and purity for the most demanding applications.
High purity, high whiteness and uniform particle size make it a versatile filler with an excellent performance-to-cost ratio.
"What you see is what you get" - every lot ships with a complete certificate of analysis.
